DAILY SHOE FIX...

I did mention in one of my previous blogs (about TOM FORD), that I haven't been inspired by GUCCI since Tom has left ; but I do think that they are back on my fashion radar!  Look at these boots!!  I would LOVE to own a pair!

WHOWHATWEAR!


I have been so busy the last couple of weeks, and didn't even have time for my favorite activity; my blog!  I really do love my job, but I also love finding new things to look at and to wear, and to discover new and exciting websites.  One of those is WHOWHATWEAR.COM.  It is like a magazine, with lots of inspiration, but with the added bonus that they interpret everything into wearable things, with the necessary links to the relevant websites, to buy the stuff you see online!  So, lots of celebrity sightings, and suggested substitutes, and you can even ask them what a certain celebrity wore in a certain picture, and they will try to find out all the details!

This is my kind of website, I will most certainly be a regular visitor.

TO CLOG OR NOT TO CLOG...


I cannot believe that I am even writing this.  I cannot believe that I am even contemplating the idea.  But I am.  Yes, I am.  I didn't think that the clog (it isn't even an elegant name!!), would ever again be considered the 'it' item of the fashion world.  But that just goes to show how the influence of one of the greatest fashion designers (EVER!), MR. KARL LAGERFELD, can change things around.  One thing must be made very clear though, I still hate the LOUIS VUITTON kind of clog thingy shoe.  I still think that it is plain ugly with all the fluffy bits flying around!!


It seems that some of the designers decided to follow the farm trend, and yes, we will follow!  Especially when my absolute favorite it-girl of the moment wears it on the cover of VOGUE!

If one of the stylish Olsen twins can carry it off...

Maybe it is the heels that are making it more acceptable?

FOR THE LOVE OF VOGUE..


I cannot seem to help myself when it comes to magazines.  I am totally addicted, and usually go into withdrawl at the end of the month when I am waiting for the newest British/US VOGUE.  Why do I love it so much?  I can't really say, but I do know that I get transformed into another more glamorous world, the minute I open the magazine.  I love seeing the new ads, and I love the beginning of a new season.  All of a sudden you see the newest interpretation by each designer of what should be worn.  I take in all the detail of all the new ads; the dress/top/trousers, the shoes, the hair, the bags, even the setting, everything.  
I love reading about new designers, about new ideas, new trends, and I love seeing how they manage to put a new spin on something that has been around for ages.  Here are some of my favorites from British Vogue (March)...

I have said this before; I really enjoy music.  I do not feel the need to make a statement with the music I listen to; I listen to things I like because it makes me feel good!  And at this particular stage in my life, ADAM LAMBERT's For Your Entertainment album, is doing just that.  Yes, I know, it is commercial, and some of the lyrics are quite funny, but it just puts a smile on my face whenever I listen to it!  And you have to crank up the volume when you do!!  (you can get it at AMAZON!)
